To receive twitter notifications via text messaging, Follow the instructions below.
For Weymouth/Braintree/Hingham- text "Follow NEDS_Weymouth" to the phone number 40404.
For Hanover/Rockland/Abington- text "Follow NEDS_Hanover" to 40404.
*Only set up for the account that services your area please (so if you live in Weymouth, do not set up for updates from the Hanover account).*
You will receive a response "welcoming" you for following us on twitter. This will confirm that you will start receiving the updates for last minute hours that are available. Once we send out an update with available hours we will include our phone number which is THE ONLY WAY to respond to the available appointment. Please do not tweet back or respond via text message. Please note that updates are usually for same day, or next day availability. It is your responsibility to cancel extra hours (if you've already scheduled all of your hours to avoid being charged), as you pick up extra hours.
*Please note that driving/observation hours are set up over the phone by calling the office at 781-337-1003. We offer the convenience of picking up cancelations or added hours if you choose to set up for text notifications when we update with available hours. PLEASE NOTE; New England Driving School is not responsible for any additional charges from your carrier for receiving texts.
It has been brought to our attention that some students/parents are having trouble setting up notifications via text. Twitter responds with a message that says "the FOLLOW command is no longer supported..". If this happens, you will have to create a Twitter profile, follow NEDS (either the Weymouth or Hanover page), and THEN add your phone number to your page to update for the text message notifications. We're sorry for any inconvenience, we are not sure what has changed , or whether or not it is an issue to specific devices (I.e. Android phones etc).
If you wish to UNSUBSCRIBE from updates then please text
"unfollow NEDS_Weymouth" or "unfollow NEDS_Hanover"
(depending on which one you signed up for) to the phone number 40404.
